For some, being Intrepid means crashing through the jungle in search of gorillas. For others, it’s trying street food for the first time, or bunking down on an overnight train with a dozen snoring strangers.
Whatever form it takes, Intrepid is an attitude – a willingness to take yourself far from the comforts of home, embrace difference and open yourself up to new cultures and experiences. To be curious, challenged, fearless, alive. At Intrepid, that’s what we live for.
Our travellers are of all ages and come from all walks of life, but they share a desire to forge genuine connections through travel. They are united not by where they’ve come from, but by where they’re going.
Intrepid’s immersive adventures take travellers beyond the usual tourist sights and down the road less travelled.
They’re about opening doors you could only find with a local friend, to get behind the scenes of a destination and find out what makes it tick.
They’re about connecting with locals and like-minded travellers in a meaningful way – making the big wide world feel smaller and more connected.
With an average group size of just 10 people, we can eat, sleep and get around the local way, going where the bigger groups can’t, and becoming more than just a face in the crowd.
Our smaller group sizes also mean we can tread lightly, making a positive impact on local communities and the environment.
We understand our travellers need a balance between the guidance of a local leader and making their own discoveries. That’s why our itineraries offer planned activities with varied inclusions and plenty of free time.
With more than 1,000 itineraries that explore over 120 countries, there are many ways to Be Intrepid with Intrepid Travel.
